OSWEGO – Friends of Recovery Oswego County Inc. (FOR-Oswego County), a local Recovery Community Organization, is excited to host a free Summer Festival: Wellness Fair & Family Fun Day on August 13, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Breitbeck Park Pavilion on Lake Street in Oswego.
A Day of Community, Wellness, and Fun for All Ages
This family-friendly event offers a variety of activities for all ages, including:
- 9:00 AM: Coffee and Conversations (a chance to connect with others)
- 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM: Wellness Fair Activities (featuring local organizations promoting health and recovery)
- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: FREE Picnic Lunch (enjoy a delicious and relaxing break)
- 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Walk for Wellness (around the Park)
- 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Poetry Slam Event (celebrating creativity and expression)
- All Day: Socializing, Yard Games, and more!
Promoting Recovery Through Community
FOR-Oswego County has invited many organizations to participate in this Festival, including ARISE, The Desens House, OCO Clubhouse, Farnham Family Services, CiTi, Catholic Charities, OCPC, NY Connects, SMART Recovery and the CNY Food Bank.
The event is an opportunity for all community members to join in a relaxing day, to express themselves artistically, get information, network, and socialize. This festival is a celebration of recovery and a chance to connect with resources that support overall well-being.
FOR-Oswego County is dedicated to fostering a supportive community where recovery from addiction is celebrated. This event is a testament to our commitment to promoting wellness, reducing stigma, and building a stronger Oswego County.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free and open event. No registration is required. This event was made possible by funding from the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.
