Graduating Senior to Exhibit Work In Bachelor Of Fine Arts Show

Emma Monroe will be graduating this May from SUNY Oswego. She will be exhibiting work in

the Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition, opening April 9th through April 21st. An opening reception

will be held on April 12th from 5 to 7 PM in the Tyler Art Gallery, all are welcome to attend.

Emma, daughter of Melissa Stuber and Cory Monroe is receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree

in Studio Art. Her work is a combination of multiple forms of media and often explores the

contradiction Between fantasy and reality. Is seeing is believing, or is believing is seeing?. With

endless influences ranging from prominent visual artists to her own family and friends,

everything she cherishes in life impacts her practice.

After graduation, Emma plans to earn her masters and start working as an art teacher within the

next three years, while also selling her own works on the side. Emma would like to thank her

family, friends, and mentors for the continuing support and the guidance that has brought her to
