OSWEGO – The final show of the Spring 2024 season of #JazzByTheLake showcases The Jam/ Jazz Fusion of The Count Blastula Trio (CBT) on April 20 at 7:30pm; doors open at 7pm. For this special 420 presentation, the group will be joined by renown saxophonist Mike Dubaniewicz.
The CBT is led by guitarist/bassist/ vocalist Adam Fisher. Adam started live performances on piano at age 7. He earned a degree in classical guitar. He currently performs with Count Blastula, the CBT, as well as the bassist for Soul Risen, and guitarist for area favorites Grupo Pagan.
Keyboardist Dan Pugh is a second-generation CNY Jazz performer. He is a sought-after musician and plays with Longwood Jazz Project, Taj, his own Trio, and recently founded Lvl 100 as a bassist.
Drummer Dave Schlossberg got his start in the NYC music scene. He has worked with such notables as Gregg Allman, Peter Levin, and the Blind Boys of Alabama. Dave currently holds the kit for both the CBT and Count Blastula.
Special guest saxophonist Mike Dubaniewicz was the bandleader for Maynard Ferguson’s Big Band for seven years. He currently performs with many area groups including The Central New York Jazz Orchestra, and his own group Trio Explosivo.

Tickets are on sale online now at https://www.oswegomusichall.org/ ($16 – $19), or at the rivers end Bookstore in Oswego, although you may be able to get tickets at the door if it is not sold out. The community is encouraged to buy tickets early to ensure a seat.
The Jam/ Jazz Fusion of the CBT show, curated by David Kaspar, is made possible through the Music Hall’s Guest Curator program whereby new programs are introduced outside the regular concert series representing demographics and artistic genre not typical in Music Hall programming.
The wheelchair accessible venue is located in the McCrobie Civic Center, on 41 Lake Street in Oswego. It is adjacent to Breitbeck Park and overlooks Lake Ontario and the Oswego Harbor. The atmosphere is intimate with candle-lit tables surrounding the stage with light refreshments available. Cash or check only at the door.
Oswego Music Hall is a family-friendly, non-profit organization that has been run entirely by volunteers since its inception in 1977. Volunteers can earn admission to shows through various tasks — from event support to making popcorn. Students can also earn credit for community service.
