John C. Birdlebough High School Club Presents “The Importance of Being Earnest” by Oscar Wilde

PHOENIX – The John C. Birdlebough High School Drama Club will present The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde this November in the JCB High School Auditorium, 552 Main St., Phoenix, N.Y.

Performances will be held Thursday, Nov. 6, at 4:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, Nov. 7 and 8, at 7:30 p.m.

The Importance of Being Earnest is a witty and satirical comedy by Oscar Wilde that explores themes of identity, social obligation, and the absurdity of Victorian society. The story follows two young gentlemen, Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff, who both lead double lives to escape societal expectations.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and children/students under 18. All performances offer general admission seating.

Tickets may be purchased in advance online at https://cur8.com/15362/project/134350. Service fees apply for online orders, and tickets will be sent electronically. Online ticket sales close three hours before each performance. This does not indicate a sellout; tickets will still be available for purchase at the door for that date’s show.
