Come Jam at Gina Marie Music Studio
On April 5th, Gina Marie Music Studio kicked off a new jam group that meets on the first Saturday of every month. The jam brought together a lively group of folks, playing guitars, a banjo, a fiddle, and piano. Some folks have been playing for decades. Others have just started. People laughed and sang as they played a mix of folk and roots inspired songs led by Gina Holsopple. Everyone was encouraged to sing and to solo in a supportive way that will help build skills at whatever level feels comfortable.
“This is a great opportunity to explore new styles, meet fellow musicians, and gain confidence in playing with others,” says Holsopple.
The jam is open to everyone and is a fun, welcoming environment to learn how to play with a group. Binders with lyrics and chords are available for people who would like them. All instruments are welcome.
Location: The Parlor at Gina Marie Music Studio, 116 W 2nd St, Oswego NY
Date/Time: First Saturday of the month; 12-1:30 pm
Cost: $5 per person
All levels, all instruments.
