FULTON – Acclaimed singer, songwriter and guitarist Cam Caruso will provide the musical entertainment for Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) Giving Thanks Food and Beverage Pairing event to be held November 14th at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center, 26 East First Street in Oswego.

For the past 10 years Caruso has been serenading crowds with his classically trained baritenor voice at public and private events throughout Upstate New York. In addition to his talents as a singer / songwriter, Caruso, a fourth generation entrepreneur from Oswego, is also a record producer and audio engineer.

Known for his impressive catalog of original music, Caruso’s specialty is performing acoustic covers of pop, rock, and folk songs from yesterday, today, and tomorrow. His talents have been recognized throughout Central New York and beyond.

He has received two Syracuse Area Music Awards; Best Singer-Songwriter Record in 2020 and People’s Choice Best Artist in 2023. He has also shared the stage with several national touring acts including folk music legend Vance Gilbert, who toured with George Carlin.

Caruso’s familiarity with OCO’s programs and staff inspired him to be part of OCO’s Giving Thanks celebration.

“Some of my favorite human beings have worked or currently work at OCO. Whenever I cross paths with them or the department they worked/work in, the common thread is they genuinely care about people and want to make a positive difference in their community. It is a pleasure and an honor to be invited to perform for Giving Thanks and help keep that positivity going the best way I know how,” said Caruso.

Presented by G & C Foods and Eagle Beverage, OCO’s Giving Thanks Food and Beverage Pairing event will be held at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center, 26 East First Street in Oswego. Giving Thanks serves as a vehicle to highlight OCO’s many programs and services and as a fundraiser for the agency’s “Thrive in ’25: From Hardship to Hope” initiative that focuses on supporting programs that empower individuals to become their best selves by providing support programs that provide critical resources and opportunities in areas such as education, crisis services, and mental health support.

“OCO provides essential supportive services to help people rebuild their lives and become self-sufficient,”

said OCO Development Coordinator Bridget Dolbear. “OCO has been a lifeline for hundreds of individuals and families facing an array of challenges, including developmental disabilities, addiction, mental health issues, domestic violence and homelessness. Proceeds from OCO’s Giving Thanks Food and Beverage pairing event will support programs that are aimed at providing those services.”

A food and beverage pairing like none other, OCO’s Giving Thanks will feature food samples from some of the area’s finest and most popular restaurants, eateries, and food trucks. Food stations throughout the venue will offer attendees the opportunity to enjoy a wide assortment of delicacies paired with beverage samples especially chosen to complement the foods featured at each station. There will also be a number of drawings and an upcycled art auction.

“We’re excited to have such a talented musician as Cam join us,” added OCO Dolbear. “His performance will be one of the highlights of our event.”
