OSWEGO – Old friends returned to the stage for the September Oswego Players production of “While The Lights Were Out”. Karla Chandler-McCord and Eric Cronk have both returned to Frances Marion Brown stage after a lengthy hiatus. The Oswego Players production of “While the Lights Were Out” directed by Sherri Metz will run weekends September 6th-15th, 2024 at the Frances Marion Brown Theater at Fort Ontario in Oswego, NY.

It’s been 28 years since Karla Chandler-McCord graced the Oswego Players stage with her wonderful acting talent. Sherri had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Karla in several productions-most memorably “Play On” in 1994, “Belles” in 1995, and “The Lion In Winter” in 1996.

Karla is extremely honored to be back with The Oswego Players, after a 27 year move to Brooklyn, New York to be a gardener at Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Karla enjoyed continuing to act and participate in improv while she lived in New York City.

She and her husband moved back to Oswego in 2023 where she returned to the OP stage in “Death Trap” directed by Inez Parker and much to Sherri’s delight-came out for her production.

Eric Cronk and Sherri have a long history of sharing the limelight with both the Oswego Players and Theatre Du Jour. They appeared together in “Don’t Dress for Dinner” in 2000, “Lost in Yonkers” in 2002, “The Director” in 2003, “Café Noir” in 2015 and she directed Eric in 2019’s “I Take This Man”.

“I cannot express how thrilled I am to have these wonderful friends back on stage and in my show” says Metz.

These two uniquely talented actors are sure to entertain and enthrall you in the upcoming production of “While the Lights Were Out” opening September 6th and running through September 15th.
