OSWEGO – The Oswego Music Hall continues the Guest Curator Series — which enables new programs proposed and curated by community members, representing demographics and artistic genres not typical in Music Hall programming.
Alexandr Misko is a modern fingerstyle guitar prodigy who mesmerizes audiences worldwide. From viral videos with over 80 million views to performing at Carnegie Hall and collaborating with Hans Zimmer, his music captivates fans online and at live shows around the globe.
Still in his 20s, Misko has gained international recognition with seven albums, a YouTube channel exceeding 1 million subscribers, and performances spanning from America to Japan. He’s known for his innovative Frankenstein Guitar, a one-of-a-kind acoustic instrument featuring a triple detuning system, built-in percussion, and 14 pickups.
With a style that blends technical innovation with accessible musicality, Misko’s compositions transcend cultural barriers and speak a universal language wherever they are heard.

The show, curated by Mark Wahl, is scheduled for Sunday, August 30 at 7:30 pm (doors open at 7) at the Oswego Music Hall (inside the McCrobie Civic Center at 41 Lake St.). Tickets ($17 – $20) are on sale now at https://www.oswegomusichall.org/, or at the rivers end Bookstore, 19 W. Bridge St., Oswego, although you may be able to get tickets at the door if it is not sold out. The community is encouraged to buy tickets early to ensure a seat. Tickets at the door and refreshments are purchased with cash or check only.
Oswego Music Hall is featuring the immensely talented and crowd favorite, Delaney Brothers Bluegrass Band on Saturday, September 26 at 7:30 pm. Two-time SAMMY winners, Delaney Brothers Bluegrass is one of CNY’s oldest and best-loved bluegrass bands. More than just bluegrass, their music is influenced by many other acoustic traditions such as country, folk, gospel, and Celtic. The wheelchair accessible venue is located in the McCrobie Civic Center, on 41 Lake Street in Oswego. It is adjacent to Breitbeck Park and overlooks Lake Ontario and the Oswego Harbor. The atmosphere is intimate with candle-lit tables surrounding a small stage. Light refreshments will be available at reasonable prices.
Oswego Music Hall is a family-friendly, non-profit organization that has been run entirely by volunteers since its inception in 1977. Volunteers can earn admission to shows through various tasks — from event support to making popcorn. Students can also earn credit for community service.
