OSWEGO –  The Oswego Music Hall continues the Guest Curator Series — which enables new programs proposed and curated by community members, representing demographics and artistic genre not typical in Music Hall programming.

Feng E is a young musical sensation (born in 2007) from Taiwan. His claim to fame began in 2018 at the very young age of 10, when his video went viral playing Tommy Emmanuel’s arrangement of Mason Williams Classical Gas with a ukulele in the park in Taipei. He later ended up playing live with Tommy himself in both Taiwan and Hong Kong. View the video of Feng E, age 15, performing with Tommy Emmanuel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTBaqEeAU5A.

Owing to the viral video, Feng E was invited to The Ellen DeGeneres Show to play for a worldwide audience. He has since been on Ellen’s show twice (2018 and 2019), and each video has 2.3 million views. In 2020, Feng E made it to the quarter-finals of America’s Got Talent. His highest social media demographic location is the United States.

Feng E has become a star in the world of ukulele music, performing and winning competitions around the world, in places like Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, China, and Hawaii. On Asia’s Got Talent (2017), he was the only competitor to get the Golden Buzzer from producer David Foster.

To date, Feng E has mastered five musical instruments, starting with the piano at the age of four. He also has numerous compositions to his name.

Since then, Feng E has transformed from a viral sensation into one of the most exciting young artists in the global ukulele scene. His dazzling performances have taken him to stages across Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, China, and Hawaii, where he’s racked up international awards and headline slots.

His groundbreaking 2024 West Coast tour of the United States turned heads with show-stopping sets at the Los Angeles International Ukulele Festival, plus a string of high-profile TV and radio appearances.

Now with nearly a million YouTube subscribers and climbing, Feng E continues to set records and push boundaries. In 2025 alone, he headlined the Denver International Ukulele Festival and saw his band Resonance Effect take home the top prize in the Taoyuan Iron Rose Hot Sound Award in Taiwan (their version of shows like Idol). From October, he embarks on a highly anticipated U.S. Eastern tour, including a marquee performance in New York City. Don’t miss this chance to witness his extraordinary musicianship — live! The show, curated by Mark Wahl, is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20 at 7:30 pm (doors open at 7) at the Oswego Music Hall (inside the McCrobie Civic Center at 41 Lake St.). Tickets ($17 – $22; college/high school students with school ID $10) are on sale now at https://www.oswegomusichall.org/, or at the rivers end Bookstore, 19 W. Bridge St., Oswego, although you may be able to get tickets at the door if it is not sold out. The community is encouraged to buy tickets early to ensure a seat. Tickets at the door and refreshments are purchased with cash or check only.

The wheelchair accessible venue is located in the McCrobie Civic Center, on 41 Lake Street in Oswego. It is adjacent to Breitbeck Park and overlooks Lake Ontario and the Oswego Harbor.
