OSWEGO – The Oswego Music Hall welcomes Liz Longley, with Cam Caruso opening, on Saturday, March 21 at 7:30 pm; doors open at 7.

“The first time you see Liz Longley, you’ll be torn. Half of you will be so excited to have discovered her, and the other half will be mad that you hadn’t found her earlier. She’s the gold standard among independent singer/songwriters – she puts on an amazing show, writes incredible songs, and her voice will leave you in disbelief”, Jesse Ruben, veteran singer and songwriter, based in Atlanta.
Liz launched a wildly successful crowd-funding campaign that placed her as the fourth most-funded solo female musician ever on Kickstarter history. Her deeply devoted fans contributed over $150,000 in order to help her purchase the rights to and independently release Funeral For My Past, far surpassing the initial goal of $45,000. Funeral For My Past’s warm sound was curated by five-time Grammy-nominated producer Paul Moak (Mat Kearney, The Weeks, Caitlyn Smith). The elements of Longley’s demeanor that have helped foster such a connection with her fans show up throughout the album itself: it’s at times cozy and heartwarming, but with a bite that makes each track difficult to forget.
Katie Pederson of the Rebel Eves recently stated: “I’ve been following her since like 2012 or something like that and I love her voice. She’s just an excellent writer, and I saw that she’s actually playing at Oswego, which is awesome.” “…from Americana to gospel-flavored soul to shimmering pop anthems and touches of jazz!”, Billboard.
Cam Caruso is a singer, songwriter, audio engineer, and record producer from Oswego. He is a classically trained vocalist with a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oswego and a master’s degree from Berklee College of Music. For the past decade, Cam has been writing songs and trying to find his voice. He’s also been working as a gigging musician since 2015. In that time, Cam has performed with some of the most respected musicians in Central New York, opened for nationally touring acts, and won Syracuse Area Music Awards for Best Singer/Songwriter Recording and People’s Choice Best Artist/Band.
The Oswego Music Hall Open Mic Friday is on March 20, beginning at 7 pm with sign-ups at 6:30.
