OSWEGO COUNTY – Join the Schroeppel Historical Society for a presentation of “A Disappearance in Dead Creek” on Tuesday, Oct. 15. The talk begins at 7 p.m. at the Schroeppel Historical Museum, 486 Main St., Phoenix.
Van Buren Town Historian Steve McMahon leads the presentation and discussion about an unsolved disappearance in Dead Creek. It includes the discovery of a missing man’s suitcase and the mysterious findings it revealed, such as a potential link to the attempted murder of the missing man’s boss (who was a millionaire horse breeder).
The event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be provided courtesy of the Schroeppel Historical Society. Donations are greatly appreciated.
For more event information, find the “Friends of Schroeppel Historical Society” on Facebook.
