Silver-based Photo Exhibition Opens At Art Association Gallery

The Art Association of Oswego announces the opening of two new exhibitions on Saturday, August 22 at the Oswego Civic Arts Center. Opening in the Timothy McHenry gallery on the Art Center’s second floor will be Travels in Silver, an exhibition of traditional silver-based photography by two Central New York photographers, Peter Mahan and Yolanda Tooley. This exhibition will showcase memorable images culled from their travels, presented in black and white.

Opening concurrently in the Jo Hyse Gallery on the first floor of the Arts Center will the Art Association’s 1st Annual Community Salon, an exhibition of works by artists from across Oswego County. The show will be hung from floor to ceiling (salon-style). Both shows will begin with a public reception on August 22 from 7-9 pm. The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The Oswego Civic Arts Center is located at the northernmost end of East 4th Street in Oswego, directly across from Fort Ontario. Regular gallery hours are from 2-5 pm on weekends or by appointment.
