The Oswego Players “Meet Me in St. Louis”: A Play About Families

The Oswego Players latest production, the classic musical, “Meet Me in St. Louis”. tells the tale of the Smith family, particularly the four Smith sisters, and their adventures leading up to the 1903 World Fair in St. Louis Missouri. The current production is also concerned with families in another way with the participation of many families in the production.

A case in point might be the Snow family with dad, Ken Snow and daughters Jennie and Nicky ,all featured in the show. This is also the case with the McIntosh family with father, Tobie and daughters Erin and Brienna, and the Berlin family with mom and dad Norm and Sonia Berlin, and son Norman Berlin III, participating either on stage or behind the scenes.

The cast also includes: Sherry Baker, Richard Mosher, Bobby Fontana, Jonathon Altman, Chris Bixler, Ed Lewis, Jeremy Edwards, John Emery, Liz Enwright, Courtney Gregory and Kyle Greenleaf.

The production is under the direction of Inez Manor Parker assisted by Norman Berlin III as Stage Manager, Abel Searor as Music Director, Laurel Artz as Choreographer, Richard Mosher, as Light Designer, and Laura Lowrie Sarappo, as Costume designer.

“Meet Me in St. Louis” will be presented on July 10, 11, 17 and 18 At 8:p.m. with a Matinee on July 19 at 2 p. m. at the Frances Marion Brown Theater, located in the Civic Arts Center Building, in Fort Ontario Park, in Oswego. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for Seniors and $7 for Students. Reservations can be made by calling the Oswego Players box office at 343-5138.
