Although he did not start painting until he was in his 50s, it has become his avocation and he has won more than 40 awards in art shows throughout Central New York, including the New York State Fair.

His passion for the arts prompted him and a few colleagues to realize their dream of a strong presence for the visual arts in Oswego County and provide an outlet for the many talented artists and artisans in upstate New York.

This resulted in the establishment of the Lakeside Artisans Coop located in Canal Commons, 193 W. First St.

“It’s almost a magical experience to work in the store at Lakeside Artisans, as all of the members do, and be surrounded by the beautiful, diverse artwork of these talented people. We’ve uncovered a goldmine of talented artists in our own backyard. It’s something that we, as a community, can be truly proud of. Our members, your neighbors, can offer their original artwork directly, at affordable prices, since there is no middleman,” he said.

Tim is a native of Oswego who spent 25 years in California in the entertainment and hospitality industries before coming back to his roots.

He is the former owner of the Rockin’ Robin Restaurants, which operated in Oswego and Fulton throughout the 1990s.

He is also a member of the Fulton Art Association, CNY Art Guild, Salmon River Fine Arts Center, Rome Community Arts Center, the Arts Center at Old Forge and the Oswego Arts Collaborative. missing or outdated ad config
