“We’re very excited to have the X-Squad join our growing line up of events we have scheduled for this year’s Harborfest,” said Harborfest Executive Director Tom Van Schaack. “We would love to bring more water events into the mix every year during Harborfest, so we hope this is just the start of that trend. I think it will be a great lead in event to The Fabulous Thunderbirds at 8:15 and the Entergy Nuclear Fireworks that begin at dusk.”

The X-Squad is a group of show skiers and support staff that have learned how to show ski at Camp Mohawk Valley in Pattersonville, NY.

In order to be an X-Squad member, skiers must be enrolled in school (elementary-college).

2010 marks the sixth year of show skiing by the X-Squad.

Skiers perform acts on the water wearing costumes.

During the show, audiences will see skiers going over jumps, human pyramids being built on the water and multiple skiers traveling around the front of the boat.

Slated for July 22-25, the 2010 edition of Harborfest will feature plenty of food, fun and entertainment as venues on both Oswego’s east and west sides will be used to deliver the excitement.

A wide variety of entertainment will be featured on stages throughout the city of Oswego including, the Jazz & Blues Stage in East Park, the Veterans’ Stage on West River Walk, the Family Stage at the Novelis Family Park at Fort Ontario and the NRG Lakeview Stage in Breitbeck Park.

Headliner entertainment includes the Little River Band, Kansas, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and the Ya’ll American Country Tour featuring Doug Stone.
