Epic Snowfall Precedes the Winona Forest 37th Annual XC Tourathon


Mannsville and Boylston, NY – Upwards of 10 feet of snow in the past 10 days in Winona Forest will provide a spectacular winter wonderland and excellent conditions for the 37th annual Cross-Country Ski Tourathon Saturday, Feb. 11.

Participants may choose from 12.5, 25, or 50 K distance races.

All ages and abilities are encouraged to come out and enjoy the outdoors while participating in a healthy outdoor sport.

The 37th Winona Forest Tourathon is considered a premiere event on pristine cross-country ski trails in Oswego and Jefferson counties.

The Winona Forest Recreation Association (WFRA) says people are traveling from as far away as New Mexico, Canada, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and the New England states to take part in this long-standing tradition in Winona Forest.

Start times are 8 and 8:30 a.m. at the CCC Camp, County Route 90, east of Mannsville.

Registration closes Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m. www.skireg.com/4117.

The Winona Forest Tourathon is always a very high-paced, exciting fundraising event.

Proceeds benefit WFRA ski trail maintenance and grooming efforts.
