OSWEGO — The SUNY Oswego Office of Business and Community Relations will present a second annual CEO retreat for executives of nonprofit organizations starting in September at the college’s main campus.
Offered through the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, the bimonthly retreat sessions will feature the state of nonprofits today, the board-CEO relationship, fundraising and development, organizational dynamics and public relations, succession planning, financials and coaching and mentoring.
Sessions will take place 8 a.m. to noon the first Tuesday of every other month in Rich Hall, starting Sept. 6. The final retreat session will be June 5.
The CEO retreat targets top executives and upper management of nonprofits, and focuses on topics critical to operational, fiscal and strategic leadership. In addition to the training curriculum, participants will conduct research on nonprofit management issues and present to their peers. Trainers and session leaders are local experts with extensive experience.
