Fairgrieve Game Day a Recipe for Fun

Ethan Aldasch, left, and Annabel Boyer, right, used their head during the beach ball race at the Fairgrieve Elementary School Annual Game Day. The object of the game required two runners to run a relay course while holding a beach ball between their bodies. The tricky part was that the runners could not use their hands to hold the ball, but only their head, belly or back. The head technique proved quite successful for these two.

Ooohhh that’s cold! Jayda Padua’s expression says it all as she hands the water bottle off to next in line, Autumn Taylor, who in turn passes it to Madison King. Molly Williams turns to look at Jayda after her turn with the refreshing shower during Fairgrieve’s Game Day. With temperatures in the 80s and bright sunshine, the outdoor games and activities all added up to a great da,y especially when you add a little cool water. The object of the game was to pass the water bottle backwards overhead and keep as much water in the bottle as possible before emptying it into a container at the end of the row, but for these students, it was all about the cool down.
