The second annual Fairley Healthy Family Night has been set for March 23 from 7-9 p.m. at the Fairley Elementary School gymnasium where good nutrition practices, exercise habits and positive lifestyle choices will be in the spotlight.
The entire school community is invited to attend.
The event was organized in hopes that by providing the healthy family night, local families will have the opportunity to learn about current information that will encourage a healthy lifestyle which Fairley School psychologist Geri Seward noted is a challenge in today’s world.
Seward is one of the organizers of the annual event and said the event is to help families in the Hannibal area to have the most current information available.
“Getting information to families is a challenge and we created a fun, easy way to do this. We will have healthy snacks, door prizes and our book fair, plus lots of good information for our families,” Seward said. “We sure hope to have a good turnout.”
Last year’s event drew hundreds and organizers hope for a similar or even better turnout.
Organizations, local businesses and health care providers will be on hand to showcase their knowledge to encourage and support families in the Hannibal area to adopt or adapt to a healthier lifestyle.
