FULTON, NY – First United Church of Fulton, 33 S. Third St., will celebrate 15 years of
united and uniting congregational life on Sunday.
The service will include a power point picture review of highlights of the past year.
October 7 will also mark the 15th anniversary of pastor David Nethercott’s arrival to begin ministry in Fulton.
Pastor Nethercott will bring the sermon with the title “Original Intent,” with a focus on
God’s intentions for the life and witness of the congregation.
Communion will be shared, as is the custom, on the first Sunday of the month.
The Peace Offering for world-wide mission will also be received.
Following the service, a birthday cake will be served to everyone as a part of the Fellowship Time.
Everyone is welcome.
First United Church is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches, USA and the Presbyterian Church (USA).
The congregation is active in the greater Fulton community through the Greater
Fulton Area Council of Christian Churches.
The congregation has an ongoing ministry to the larger community called Open Doors Neighborhood Center.
The facility offers hearing assistance and is accessible to those who are physically handicapped.
