Fulton Board of Education Candidates’ Forum is Tonight

The seven candidates for four open seats on Fulton’s Board of Education will debate the issues Monday night.

The event begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Fulton Education Center auditorium.

The candidates will be questioned by a panel of three local journalists: Andy Henderson of the Valley News, Aaron Curtis of the Palladium-Times and Dave Bullard of Oswego County Today.com.

There are four openings on the board because of the resignation earlier this year of Janet Truong, and the decisions by Robert Ireland, Dan Pawlewicz and Rae Howard not to run for reelection.

The seven candidates are:

* David Cordone of 26 N. Pollard Dr., a former member of the board;
* Christine Plath of 95 Windemere Dr.;
* Frederick Cavalier of 514 W. 2nd St. S., who has served on the district’s Budget Committee;
* Teresa Loetterle of 609 W. 1st St. S.;
* Sandy Rogers of 65 W. 4th St. S.;
* David Carvey of 61 W. 1st St. S.;
* Barbara Hubbard of 74 S. Pollard Dr., the retired Principal of Granby Elementary School.

  1. Nice to see so many candidates are interested in serving on the Fulton board. We need people who support educational opportunities for our children. They are our future.
