Fulton Community Theatre Plans Auditions For Cabaret

FULTON – Fulton Community Theatre will hold open auditions for the 15th edition of its very popular “An Evening on Broadway” dinner theatre cabaret.

Auditions will be held on October 15 and 16 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the home of FCT’s Artistic Director, Michael A. Bolio, 692 Maple Ave, Fulton.

“An Evening on Broadway: Comedy Tonight” marks the 15th edition of the FCT cabaret series – the longest continuing musical series in community theatre in Oswego County.

Directed by Bolio, with musical direction and accompaniment by Dan Williams, it will run for two weekends, November 18 – 27 as dinner theatre offering at Tavern On The Lock Restaurant in Fulton.

The theme for the show centers on the comedy portion of musical comedies, or as the musical lyric states, the “Lovers, Liars, and Clowns.”

Those auditioning for “Comedy Tonight” should prepare and bring sheet music for songs from a favorite Broadway show. The songs for the show will be selected from the performers’ selections, with the directors making the final cuts.

This production and Fulton Community Theatre’s 2016 Season is made possible in part with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by CNY Arts.
