FULTON, NY – Compass Federal Credit Union held an official groundbreaking ceremony for its all-new branch in Fulton on Today (June 25), beginning a new chapter for the credit union, which was established in 1966.
Compass Federal Credit Union manager Tom O’Toole and board president Mike Pisa welcomed community members on Tuesday morning as gray skies and rain gave way to beautiful sunshine.
“This is the start of big things for Compass,” said O’Toole. “With this location and our partnership with Heritage Credit Union, we are going to be able to offer more services for our members, including a drive-thru ATM and full branch services. I think everyone will be happy as Compass now becomes a bigger part of the Fulton community. We will be supporting a Bank at School program and will be very active to fill any needs we can in the Fulton community. I thank Mike (Pisa) and all of our board members, past and present, for your support and encouragement.”
The 3,200-square-foot building will be located at 208 N. Second St. in Fulton at the corner of Shaw and Hubbard streets, near Davis-Standard.
The one level space will include ATM and loan services, two drive-thru lanes, a coin machine as well as a conference room available to the community.
The branch will be serviced by a full complement of knowledgeable and experienced Compass Credit Union staff members.
Schopfer Architects of Syracuse has handled the design of the building, which will feature a blend of modern elements with optimal flow for members.
Hayner Hoyt Construction Company of Syracuse will handle construction.
Compass Federal Credit Union currently has seven locations, including one in Fulton’s Canalview Mall.
The all-new branch on North Second Street will replace this current Fulton location.
The branch is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
“I would like to thank everyone involved for what we have being accomplished,” said Pisa. “This location is a great opportunity to be able to better serve the community.”
