Valedictorian, Salutatorian Named For Birdlebough Class Of 2018

PHOENIX – Dozens of John C. Birdlebough High School students were recently lauded for their academic accomplishments and service during the quarterly Spark Awards assembly, and two seniors earned special recognition for their class rank.

Seniors Catherine Musumeci and Natalie Hart were named valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, of the JCB Class of 2018.

According to Principal Thomas Bailer, each student exhibited tremendous work ethic on her way to the top of the class.

“These students worked hard in the classroom and have demonstrated citizenship and responsibility,” Bailer said. “They are fine representatives of the Phoenix Central School District.”

In addition to announcing the valedictorian and salutatorian, Bailer presented Spark Awards to the following students who excelled academically or served as a role model in the classroom:

Alexandria Mills, Aubrianna Renfrew, Lauren Kraft, Larry Pilon, Brianna Gates, Holt Reed, Jena Klimaszewski, Lily Roberts, Grace Vestigo, Leah Schlachter, Destiny VanAuken, Alex Pierce, Dylan Johnson, Cade Reed, Zoey Gould, Victoria O’Connor, Sarah Thorn, Kaitlin White, Alisa Trudell, Morgan Gravlin, Julianne Yates, Emily McDonald, Haley Stellingwerf, Dixon Ameele, Jordan Cole and Sebastian Wygant.
