FULTON – The Fulton City School District’s latest capital project is nearing completion
Jerry Seguin, FCSD Director of Facilities, Operations and Transportation, said much work was finished earlier this year, including the removal of asbestos-containing floor tiles at G. Ray Bodley High School.
At the Fulton Education Center, the gymnasium’s old wooden floor was replaced with a brand new rubber-based flooring and there is a new main entryway.
Seguin said additional work of window replacement at GRB, Granby Elementary School and Fulton Junior High School was delayed, but will begin shortly and is expected to continue through the summer of 2017.
That work will not interrupt instruction.
After the current school year, Seguin said, FCSD could replace rooftop units at GRB in the cafeteria and gymnasium areas.
That is expected to go out to bid in the spring.
Recently completed in-house work included replacement of the high school press box.
