Students at Hastings-Mallory Elementary School are ready to bFit.

The namesake show, hosted by Brian Richards, came to HME to teach students about caring for their bodies with exercise and healthy foods.
Richards’ message was delivered by a humor-infused performance, which involved student assistance in magic acts.
Pre-kindergartners through sixth graders learned to consume fruits and vegetables “five a day the color way:”

Green – good for teeth/bones, yellow/orange – full of vitamin c and good for eyes, white – good for the heart, purple – strong in fiber and red – good for the brain.
Teachers and students learned quick and easy exercises together, followed by deep breathing relaxation techniques.
The bFit show concluded with each student raising their right hand to take an oath to go home and fuel their bodies with the right foods and to get one hour of exercise daily.
