Today (May 4), at approximately 5:40 a.m., investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force (DTF) in conjunction with the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team (SORT) and Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (CCSERT) executed a methamphetamine related search warrant at 2201 County Route 37 in the town of Hastings.
Based upon an investigation conducted by the DTF it was believed that the occupant was manufacturing methamphetamine.
As a result of the search warrant execution, materials and equipment used to manufacture and possess methamphetamine were seized, police said.
Richard V. Lyon, 50, of 2201 County Route 37, Mallory NY (town of Hastings) was arrested and charged with:
Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 3rd degree – Class D Felony
Lyon was arraigned in the Town of Hastings Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $15,000 bail bond.
He is set to reappear in Hastings Town Court on May 25.
The investigation is ongoing and further charges are possible.
The Oswego County Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, NYS University Police at Oswego, U.S. Border Patrol, Fulton City Police Department and Oswego City Police Department.
