NEW PALTZ, NY – The Oswego State women’s basketball team stumbled to an 83-32 loss at SUNYAC-leader New Paltz on Tuesday evening.
Oswego’s record falls to 3-18 on the year and 1-13 in conference action. The Hawks improve to 16-5 overall and 11-3 in the SUNYAC.
Tayler Sorell finished with a team high nine points, all coming in the first half.
The senior’s nine came from beyond the arc, making 3-for-9 (33.3%) from downtown.
Aiding in the offensive effort was Nicole SantaMaria, recording a career high eight in 30 minutes of action.
On the boards, Zana Dillard led the way for the 16th time this season, corralling 10 rebounds. SantaMaria had half that total while Allie Izzo and Courtney Ameele each grabbed four.
Oswego will bounce back into action at 5:30 p.m. on Friday when it travels to Potsdam to face the Bears.
