Health Department to Conduct Emergency Preparedness Exercise Open to Public


OSWEGO – The Oswego County Health Department will conduct an emergency preparedness exercise on May 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Oswego County Health Department at 70 Bunner St.

The Oswego County Health Department will conduct an emergency preparedness exercise on May 28. The exercise is open to the public and the Health Department encourages residents and their families to participate.

The purpose of the exercise is to practice the county’s ability to dispense lifesaving medication in the event of a public health emergency.

The public is encouraged to participate in this exercise.

They will have a preview as to how the Oswego County Health Department will respond in a real emergency and become a more prepared citizen.

The Health Department at Bunner Street is considered a primary open point of distribution site and in an actual case of emergency would be where residents could receive lifesaving medication.

Pre-registration is preferred prior to the drill but isn’t mandatory.

Those who pre-register will be processed more quickly.
