A native of Oswego, Stanka received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from SUNY Oswego and is currently working towards her master’s degree.

She previously worked for SUNY Oswego Auxiliary Services and the Compass Federal Credit Union in Oswego.

Stanka is looking forward to challenges of her new position and is excited to be working for such a vital organization as the chamber.

“I’ve always been interested in working for a non-profit organization,” said Stanka. “When my children were younger I sat on the board for the Oswego Minor Hockey Association and was part of the planning committee for the Oswego Youth Soccer Association’s annual golf tournaments. I found it to be very rewarding and I thought it would be nice to someday work for a non-profit.”

In her role as staff accountant and market manager Stanka will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties including handling the chamber’s accounts payable and receivable, generation of financial reports, and financial coordination of chamber events.

On the market manager side, she will be heavily involved with the Oswego and Fulton farmers’ markets.

In addition to recruiting and coordinating vendor participation in the markets, Stanka will represent the chamber at the Farmers’ Market Federation and help coordinate the marketing for both the Oswego and Fulton farmers’ markets.

“I’m happy to be a part of the chamber and am looking forward to meeting our members and planning for next year’s markets,” added Stanka.
