Kinney Drugs Plans Flu and Pneumonia Clinics for all its Retail Stores

Gouverneur, N.Y. – Kinney Drugs, a leading community pharmacy and retail business in New York and Vermont announced today they will offer seasonal flu and pneumonia clinics in all of their retail stores, beginning Monday, September 28.

In Kinney’s four Oswego County outlets, clinics will be held:


  • October 2, 3-7pm
  • October 7, 10am-2pm


  • October 2, 10am-2pm
  • October 10, 2:30-6:30pm


  • September 30, 3-7pm
  • October 8, 10am-2pm


  • September 28, 3pm-7pm
  • October 6, 10am-2pm

Both seasonal flu and pneumonia vaccines will be free for people with Medicare Part B and most insurance programs are accepted. The immunizations will be administered by a registered nurse employed by Maxim Health Systems. Anyone over the age of 9 years is eligible to receive the seasonal flu vaccine, while the pneumonia vaccine is recommended for those who are at high risk over the age of 18.

All stores will be displaying, near the pharmacy, a variety of products and free educational materials to help prevent the spread of the seasonal flu and products to help relieve symptoms should one get the flu. In addition, Kinney Drugs pharmacists are prepared to counsel patients on seasonal flu precautions as well as the latest updates on the H1N1 flu (swine flu).
