Arrest Made By Fulton Police In Sex Abuse Investigation

FULTON – In September 2022, the Fulton Police Department received a complaint regarding the sexual abuse of a child which occurred over a period of several years at a location in the city.

As a result of the investigation, it was learned that an adult male engaged in sexual intercourse and other sexual acts with the child between 2014 and 2017, when the child was less than 11 years old. Furthermore, two separate incidents were discovered to have occurred in October 2018 and March 2019, where the suspect engaged in sexual intercourse with the 11 year old victim.

Last week, on October 21, 2022, the male suspect was located on Academy Street in the city of Fulton and arrested. He is identified as Ronald L. Wardhaugh, 31 years old, of Fulton.

Charges: 1 count of Course of sexual conduct against a child, 1st Degree – Class B Felony
2 counts of Rape 1st Degree – Class B Felony

Wardhaugh was arraigned later in the day on October 21 and remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail/$50,000 bail bond.
