OSWEGO COUNTY – The 24th Annual Oswego County Hospice Cup Regatta will be held on Saturday June 17, 2023. According to Oswego Yacht Club Commodore Amanda Baker, the Regatta has been hosted by the Sodus Bay Yacht Club [for] the last two years, saying they are excited to bring it back to Oswego.
Since its inception, the Regatta has raised almost $400,000, which has directly helped to defray the costs of non-medical expenses for hospice patients and families.
The Friends of Oswego County Hospice provides financial support and relief to Hospice patients and their families at a time when they need it the most. This may be a gift card for groceries, supplying personal care items, or funds to cover expenses that increase the patient’s quality of life. The Friends also fund Camp Rainbow of Hope, a bereavement camp for children held every August. For more information visit friendsofhospice.org.
The sailing races begin at 10 a.m. at the Oswego Harbor. The reception following the races is open to the public and will feature chicken dinners from Woodchucks Saloon. Dinner pick-up will begin at 3:30 p.m. and the reception will follow at 4 p.m. Raffle drawings and awards ceremony will round out the event.
Dinner tickets are $15 each and individuals interested in attending are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance by June 11. Tickets are available at Woodchuck Saloon, Oswego Yacht Club, by calling 315-532-9397 or email [email protected].
This year’s Major sponsors include Fulton Savings Bank, Eagle Beverage and Pathfinder Bank.
