Unofficial Oswego County Election Returns: November 3 Report Lists 9,809 Ballots

OSWEGO COUNTY — An unofficial general election report posted by the Oswego County Board of Elections lists 9,809 ballots cast in its November 3, 2026, update stamped 21:16:19 (9:16:19 p.m.). The report says that figure includes some ballots not yet counted.

These are preliminary returns, not certified results or declarations of winners. The report does not state how many precincts have reported or provide a completion percentage. Its “All Precincts” heading describes the report’s scope and does not establish that counting is complete. The printed timestamp does not specify a time zone.

All figures below are from Oswego County’s report. Statewide, congressional, state legislative and State Supreme Court figures are county returns only, not statewide or whole-district totals. They cannot establish the outcomes of races extending beyond the county.

The governor’s race shows Kathy C. Hochul and Adrienne E. Adams with 5,751 votes in the county report, Bruce A. Blakeman and Todd Hood with 3,921, and 33 write-ins. For the 24th Congressional District, the county report lists Alissa J. Ellman with 5,998 votes, Claudia Tenney with 3,707 and eight write-ins.

The sheriff’s contest lists Donald R. Hilton with 5,221 votes and 1,247 write-ins. County Legislative District 3 shows Glen Stratton with 326 votes and Edward Gilson with 321. These figures remain unofficial.

In the city council contests, the report lists Timothy Plunkett with 164 votes and Andrew Hinman with 105 in Oswego’s Ward 6, along with three write-ins. Fulton’s Ward 1 figures are William G. Thurlow, 61; Nicholas Barnes, 42; and Sandy Rogers, 10. Fulton’s Ward 5 figures are Dennis Merlino, 58; Kimberly Gibbs, 29; Daniel Gregory, 19; and two write-ins.

Scriba’s supervisor contest lists Julie Christine Whiteside with 317 votes and a combined write-in line of 327. The report does not identify the people receiving those write-in votes; that combined line must not be treated as one candidate.
