State Police Arrest Lacona Woman Following Public Lewdness Incident

OSWEGO COUNTY- On October 1, 2026, at approximately 2:04 p.m., State Police responded to Sandy Creek Central School, located at 124 Salisbury Street in the village of Lacona, for a reported public lewdness complaint.

A preliminary investigation determined that earlier in the day, Kristy L. Grafton, age 45, of Lacona, was standing on the porch of a nearby residence when she allegedly removed her robe and exposed herself to students while school was in session.

While Troopers were responding to the complaint, Oswego County 911 received an additional report that a woman was outside the school without a shirt and subsequently entered the school while partially disrobed.

Grafton was located and taken into custody by members of the New York State Police. She was charged with three counts of Public Lewdness (Class B Misdemeanor) and two counts of Disorderly Conduct (Violation).

Grafton was processed at SP Pulaski and issued an appearance ticket returnable to Sandy Creek Town Court on October 15, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
