OSWEGO – The Library Learning Center will be introducing two brand new courses this month that will guide NCLS members through using two different resources that are free for them to use: ArtistWorks, which provides numerous music lessons to patrons free-of-charge and Universal Classes, which provide hundreds of free classes that can be completed for transferrable credit for different programs and certifications.
These classes will help guide patrons through registering onto each of these websites and navigating the courses that they are offering.
There will also be a series of classes on Mondays from 2-4 p.m. that will cover a variety of topics on components of computers, how to maintain them and how someone can feasibly upgrade their computer for different functionalities.
There will also be a Saturday class held on April 15 that will cover the basics of four Microsoft programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.

Computer Tune-Up – April 17, 2-4 p.m.
Navigating YouTube – April 18, 2-4 p.m.
Navigating Universal Classes – April 19, 2-4 p.m.
Using G-Mail – April 20, 2-4 p.m.
Introduction to Computers (#2) – April 24, 10 a.m. – noon
Upgrading your PC – April 24, 2-4 p.m.
Navigating Wikipedia – April 25, 2-4 p.m.
Navigating ancestry.com – April 26, 2-4 p.m.
Google Earth – April 27, 2-4 p.m.
Tech Help Open Lab will be held on every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the month from 10 a.m. until noon, along with two Fridays (the 7th and the 21st) to have plenty of open time for patrons to visit the lab with any pressing questions that they have.
The Library Learning Center is located on the lower level of the Oswego Public Library and is open Monday-Friday.
All programs are free and open to the public.
