Library Learning Center Offers Twitter for Business, Organizations

The Oswego Public Library’s Library Learning Center will offer a Twitter for Businesses and Organizations workshop on May 14, from 10 a.m. to noon.

In this free workshop, the instructor will discuss how to use Twitter to promote their business or organization, how to network with professionals, and how to utilize Twitter with other social media platforms such as Pinterest and Facebook.

Workshop attendees should already have a Twitter account.

If you do not have an account but wish to attend, you can contact the Library Learning Center to set up an appointment for assistance.

The Oswego Public Library also features a Downloading E-books open lab every Friday in May from 10 a.m. to noon.

The Library Learning Center offers a wide variety of advanced technology classes.

The May 2013 schedule includes:

May 4 – Advanced Kindle Fire 1- 3 p.m.

May 7 – Craigslist 10 a.m. – noon

May 11 – Advanced Facebook 1- 3 p.m.

May 16 – Starting Your Own Business 6 – 7:30 p.m.

May 21 – Drawing with your iPad 10 a.m. – noon

May 28 – Free Music and Podcasts 10 a.m. – noon

The Library Learning Center is located on the lower level of the Oswego Public Library, and is open Monday-Saturday.

All programs are free and open to the public.
