Local Companies Continue Support to Annual United Way Golf Classic


FULTON, NY – Resource Development Director for the United Way of Greater Oswego County Ali McGrath is proud of the support year after year that the United Way has seen from local companies when it comes to its annual golf tournament.

“Again, we are overwhelmed and so appreciative of all of our sponsors who lend support year after year,” said McGrath.

2015 major sponsors include Novelis, National Grid, Entergy James A. FitzPatrick NPP, Exelon Generation, Planned Results and Burritt Motors.

Eagle Beverage and David Mirabito with MetLife, have both returned again this year as the beverage and food sponsors.

Scheduled for July 13 this year’s United Way Golf Classic will be held at the Oswego Country Club.

One of the premier golf tournaments in Central New York, event will again offer two flights of golf, 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. tee off, with a captain and crew format.

Familiar corporate sponsors participating again include Burke’s Home Center, Empower Federal Credit Union, NRG, Century 21 Galloway, Fulton Savings Bank, Dynegy, Wayne Drugs, CB&I, Quaker Chemical Corporation, and Westinghouse Electric Company.

“We also are excited to announce that Eastern Shore Associates, a returning team sponsor, has increased its sponsorship this year to corporate level,” said McGrath.

There is a foursome team registration of $600 that includes: 18 holes of golf with carts for 4 people, a steak/chicken lunch or dinner, and beverages.

All participating teams have a chance to win a car with the hole-in-one contest sponsored by Burritt Motors. There will also be plenty of raffles, a silent auction, prizes for a putting contest, longest drive and closest to the pin and much more.

McGrath added that there are sponsorship opportunities for those interested in being a part of the United Way Golf Classic including; corporate foursome sponsorships and hole sponsorships.

United Way is also accepting items for the silent auction that takes place throughout the day and is open to both flights.
