Local Parish Leader Elected to Diocesan Office

David Cordone, Sr. was elected to serve as one of four Lay Members of the Standing Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Central New York at its 142nd Annual Convention in Liverpool, New York, the weekend of November 19-20.

The Standing Committee of the diocese consists of four clerical (clergy) representatives and four laity from across the diocese. One clerical representative and one lay representative are elected to a four year term at each annual convention.

The Standing Committee is the governing body of the diocese. The Episcopal Diocese of Central New York spans from Alexandria Bay to Binghamton and from Utica to Seneca Falls.

There are 84 parishes in the diocese.

David Cordone is currently a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Fulton, where he serves the parish as a co-warden.
