Local SUNY Potsdam Students Earn Spots on President’s List


POTSDAM, NY – The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named 827 students to the President’s List, in recognition of their academic excellence in the Spring 2013 semester.

The SUNY Potsdam students have been honored for earning top marks by Interim President Dr. Dennis L. Hefner.

The students included:

Cassandra Chase of Central Square, NY, whose major is undeclared
Dennelle Gerard of Mexico, NY, whose major is Literature/Writing
Meagan Halstead of Fulton, NY, whose major is Dance
Steven Hill of Oswego, NY, whose major is undeclared
Joseph Locci of Parish, NY, whose major is Environmental Studies
Michael Remington of Phoenix, NY, whose major is Theatre
Katrina Sheats of Pulaski, NY, whose major is Music Education
Stephanie Warner of Sandy Creek, NY, whose major is Childhood/Early Childhood Education
Schally Washburn of Sandy Creek, NY, whose major is Childhood/Early Childhood Education
Gina Weston of Central Square, NY, whose major is Art Studio
Marcus Wolf of Oswego, NY, whose major is English & Creative Writing
To achieve the honor of being on the President’s List, each student must have satisfactorily completed 12 numerically-graded semester hours, with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
