FULTON, NY – Kick off the 2012 summer season at the Fulton Speedway this Saturday, May 26 as Ehrlich Pest Control presents the Memorial Day Salute.
As the weather heats up, so does the action on the Fulton Speedway “High Banks” this weekend as full night of racing is on tap featuring the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds, SUNY Canton Sportsman, NAPA Late Models, E&V Energy Novice Sportsman and Parts Plus Four Cylinder Stocks.
Just like at the Brewerton Speedway, the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds have yet to see a repeat winner. Billy Decker, Pat Ward and Willy Decker who swept last weekend at the Brewerton and Fulton Speedways have found victory lane in 2012. Billy Decker leads the point standings, with Pat Ward, Larry Wight, Ryan Phelps, Tom Sears Jr. and Mike Mahaney within striking distance of Decker.
In the ultra-competitive SUNY Canton Sportsman, they too have yet to have a repeat winner. Jordan Bennett leads the way in the points, with Beth Schneider, Earl Rudy, Bob Bennett and Tim Schneider hot on Bennett’s heels.
Other point leaders are, Tim Sears Jr. NAPA Late Models, Kyle Fink, E&V Energy Novice Sportsman and Keith Zirbel in the Parts Plus Four Cylinder Stocks.
Parents don’t forget to have your kids sign up for the Jr. Fan Club with Laurie Mortimer. She has many fun events planned for the 2012 season that includes a weekly drawing for one lucky kid to take a pace car ride with their favorite driver. You can sign up in the midway right behind the main grandstand.
