A West Monroe man was sent to jail after an incident at an auto parts facility.
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department alleges that Justin R. Crowe, 31, of 1175 County Route 11, West Monroe, was spotted at Central City Auto Parts in West Monroe after the business had closed on Saturday.
Police allege he was seen stealing auto parts.
He allegedly used a Sawzall to remove a catalytic converter from a vehicle.
When a deputy arrived, Crowe fled into the nearby woods while the deputy shouted for him to stop.
A member of the State Police, who came to help, found Crowe leaving the woods near Brecheimer Road.
Crowe was charged with a felony count of criminal trespass and misdemeanor counts of possessing burglar’s tools, petit larceny and resisting arrest.
He was sent to the Oswego County Correctional Facility on bail of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
