OSWEGO – Victory Transformation Inc. will hold its second annual Hors d’oeuvres Party and Silent Art Auction on October 25.
The event will be hosted at the American Foundry in Oswego.
The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and funds for the ministry to help people who are homeless, struggling with addiction or in critical need.
The silent art auction opens at 6 p.m.
All artwork is created by local artists.
Many of the participating artists are members of the Truth Seekers; a group of local Christian artists.
Other items are also available.
Presentations will kick off with brief testimonies by Wesley Lewis and Dustin Hayden.
Following the testimonies, Vita Friedlander, president and Daun Whittaker, executive director will present the first-ever Strength in Unity Award.
Because strength and service in unity is fundamental to the mission of Victory Transformation, the leadership wanted to acknowledge and honor someone who embodied and valued this tenet.
This year, the Strength in Unity Award will be presented to Mayor William Barlow for his vision and exceptional support in bringing our community together.
Victory Transformation, its members and leaders are proud and excited to be part of this community under Mayor Barlow’s leadership.
The speaker for the evening is Pastor John Carter, Founder and Senior Pastor of Abundant Life Christian Center in East Syracuse.
He also ministers internationally, speaking at church and leadership conferences throughout India, Africa, Eastern Europe, and North America. Pastor John has studied at Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri and is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center.
Currently, Pastor John is working on a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Alliance Theological Seminary at Nyack College.
He is the author of The Transformed Life and founder of Mercy Works, a faith-based non-profit that is dedicated to meeting practical needs among urban teens in Syracuse.
Following Pastor John’s presentation, purchased auction items will be distributed and our evening will conclude.
