Nearly 1,500 Girl Scouts to Attend 100th Anniversary Jamboree!

Weedsport, NY – Nearly 1,500 Girl Scouts from throughout the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways will converge on the Cayuga County Fairgrounds July 27-29 for a 100th Anniversary Jamboree!

During the weekend long event Girl Scouts of all ages will be honoring the traditions of Girl Scouting and celebrating the heritage while also enjoying contemporary activities in the areas of arts and culture, outdoor adventure, healthy living, and science and technology.

Some of the scheduled activities include a workshop by the Museum of Science and Technology in Syracuse, an author presentation and book signing by Shannon Henry Kleiber, author of “On My Honor,” paper making, yoga and Zumba, hands on science experiments, a Native American storyteller, making bird houses and squirrel feeders, a K-9 demos, parachute games, an outdoor obstacle course, a rock wall, a photo station, and much more!

An alumnae reception is being held Saturday evening where attending adult Girl Scouts can gather and reminisce about their Girl Scouting days, enjoy the evening campfire and sing-a-long, and take in the historical display.

Attendance for the jamboree was by pre-registration only and tickets are no longer available.

This Jamboree is the signature event for the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouting this year.
