Home-bound residents and those with special needs may find it difficult to use the public library’s materials and services. The new Outreach Services program at the Oswego Public Library, through North Country Library Services, aims to help these residents by shipping library materials directly to their homes.
The library will hold an informational workshop on Sept. 17 to explain the Outreach Services program, which allows participants to order specialized materials such as large-print books and audio books. To qualify for the program you must be age 62 or older, or have a physical handicap, or be visually or hearing impaired. This workshop is for qualified patrons and caregivers of qualified patrons who may chose to use the new service.
The Outreach Services Informational Workshop will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. Sept. 17 in the Oswego Public Library’s community room. To register for this workshop, or for more information, call the library at 341-5867. The library is located at 120 E. Second St. in Oswego.
