OSWEGO COUNTY – On August 6th, 2025, Kali Seaman, 23, of Schroeppel, was arrested for Vehicular Manslaughter in the first degree, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (Leandra’s Law), Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, and issued several traffic tickets. Seaman was the driver in the July 9th crash on State Route 49 in Hastings that resulted in the death of a two-year-old boy.
Follow up investigation determined that Seaman was impaired by cannabis at the time she was driving.
Seaman turned herself in for arrest and was subsequently arraigned in Oswego County CAP Court where she was remanded to Oswego County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.
