Allison Nelson, formerly of Caraccioli & Nelson, PLLC, has opened her own practice at 89 E. First St., Oswego, it was announced by Allison Nelson, owner.
“I am delighted to open this firm and continue my work with longstanding clients,” Nelson said. “My colleague, attorney Annalise Dykas, will be joining me, as will Sharon House, real estate assistant; Lori Cutuli, office manager/estate assistant; and Francine Fowler, legal assistant. Having this team in place ensures that our clients will continue working with the same experienced and trusted staff that they’ve known for years.
“Nelson Law Firm plans to practice in the areas of Municipal Law, Real Estate, Business and Corporate Law, Estates, Trusts, and Vehicle and Traffic matters. We have more than 75 combined years of experience in these areas and new clients are always welcome.”
Nelson earned her Juris Doctor degree from Syracuse University College of Law after she received her Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Geneseo.
She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Oswego County Bar Association where she served as President. She is affiliated with a number of local organizations including the stakeholder committee for the “Next Great Idea” Oswego County Business Plan Competition and Literacy Volunteers of Oswego County, Inc.
She previously served on the board of directors for the Oswego County Housing Development Council, Inc. and the Greater Fulton Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Nelson worked with the Oswego County Family Treatment Court and the Oswego County Family Model Court, where she serves on the Collaborative, Steering, and Improving Court Processes committees.
Nelson also received recognition as a recipient of Oswego County Business Magazine’s “40 Under 40” award in 2004. Nelson also serves as an attorney for the Department of Social Services in Oswego County.
She and her husband, Chris, reside in Fulton with their son, Lucas, 7.
