Burritt Motors is sponsoring Oswego Little League as part of Chevrolet’s nation-wide commitment to support youth sports. Over the course of the season, Burritt Motors will donate equipment to the league that includes: bags, baseballs, softballs, catcher’s gear, batting helmets, ball buckets, umpire equipment, scorebooks and first aid kits.
“We are extremely pleased to support Oswego Little League,†said Rich Burritt, sales manager and co-owner. â€In addition to donating equipment, the league will take part in The Chevy Youth Baseball Double Play Giveaway, which is a fundraiser that can earn them up to $10,000 with a grand prize giveaway of a 2010 Chevy Equinox. Chevy Youth Baseball provides assistance to 200 teams in the Northeastern Region.â€

Burritt Motors’ history dates back to 1955 in Hannibal when Chris’ grandfather, Elmer O. Burritt, purchased a Chevrolet franchise that he operated until 1963. To expand in a larger market, Chris’ father, Richard, purchased the assets of a Chevrolet dealership that had been located on Oswego’s East Third Street. About a year later, he built the present dealership on Rt. 104. The dealership celebrates its 55th anniversary this year and can be reached at (315) 343-8948, or at www.burrittmotors.com.
