HASTINGS, NY – State Police arrested Edward E. Dumas, age 40 from Central Square, for Aggravated DWI, an unclassified misdemeanor, following a vehicle collision.
On November 11, 2020, at 10:28 a.m., State Police responded to a property damage collision in the area of 325 County Route 4 in the town of Hastings.
A 2015 Toyota pickup truck operated by Edward Dumas was traveling west on CR 4 when he rear-ended a 2007 propane truck that was attempting to turn into a driveway. There were no reported injuries from the crash.
Dumas was subsequently arrested and charged with Aggravated DWI with a BAC of .30%, which is nearly four times the legal limit. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the town of Hastings Court on December 2, 2020, at 4 p.m.
