Colon Found Guilty 

OSWEGO COUNTY – Oswego County District Attorney Anthony J. DiMartino Jr. announces that Defendant Ricky Colon was found guilty, by unanimous jury verdict, of the July 13, 2024 intentional murder of Rachel Allen. 

DA DiMartino praises all the hard work of law enforcement, including the Oswego City Police Department, New York State Police and the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office who assisted in the investigation, as well as Assistant District Attorneys Louis Mannara and Matthew Bell who prosecuted this matter, and all in the District Attorney’s office who assisted. DA DiMartino applauds the collaborative effort between law enforcement and prosecution resulting in this verdict. 

DA DiMartino believes that the verdict will bring justice for the victim, Rachel Allen, and some sense of closure for her family. 

Sentencing is set for 9 a.m. April 13, 2026, at Oswego County Court, located in the Oswego County Public Safety Building, 39 Churchill Rd., Oswego, before the Hon. Armen J. Nazarian, Oswego County Judge.
